Website Use
Accessing, visiting, using or purchasing products presented on shop.laviprotect.ro implies acceptance of the terms and conditions listed below. Please read all the following sections to understand the conditions governing the use of this website.
LAVI PROTECT SRL reserves the right to amend and update these terms and conditions and its offers without prior notice or stating reasons. It also reserves the right to correct omissions or errors in product descriptions or prices without prior notice. Such errors do not oblige LAVI PROTECT SRL to take any action. LAVI PROTECT SRL will not supply products at an incorrect price.
Descriptions of goods or services available on shop.laviprotect.ro (including images and videos) are for presentation purposes only and do not constitute a contractual obligation on the part of LAVI PROTECT SRL. Accordingly, LAVI PROTECT SRL accepts no liability for potential pricing or stock-display errors, and such errors do not oblige it to take action.
Prices and availability of products sold by LAVI PROTECT SRL may change due to external factors, including distributors' pricing policies and their stock availability.
Confirmation of the order, including stock availability and the sale price, occurs only after an employee of LAVI PROTECT SRL has processed the order.
The distance contract is concluded when the order is invoiced, after prior telephone confirmation. An automatically issued acknowledgement of receipt of an order does NOT constitute conclusion of the contract between seller and buyer.

Please carefully read these terms and conditions whenever you use this website. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of changes made to them.
Placing an Order by Telephone
When placing an order by telephone, you expressly consent to the creation of an order and the creation and storage of an account on the website.
Dispatch and Delivery
An order is considered firm when an employee of LAVI PROTECT SRL has called the buyer to confirm it. Telephone confirmation takes place within a maximum of 24 hours* after placing the order on the website.
An order may also be considered firm if you did not request telephone contact during checkout. However, placing an order without telephone confirmation does not guarantee product availability.
Delivery times are as follows:
- 1–2 working days after receiving the order if placed before 3:00 p.m. and the products are in Lavi Protect's own stock.
- 2–4 working days after receiving the order if placed after 3:00 p.m. or the products are held in an external warehouse or the supplier's stock.
- 5–10 working days after receiving the order if the products are in the supplier's stock.
- More than 10 days if the products are held in an external warehouse or are still in production. In such cases, an employee of LAVI PROTECT SRL will contact you to communicate the approximate delivery timeframe supplied by the manufacturer or supplier.
If the products are out of stock, a Lavi Protect representative will call you with the expected delivery date.
* These timeframes are indicative and may be extended during special shopping events such as Black Friday, public holidays, pandemics or other force majeure events, or when one or more ordered products are out of stock. Such circumstances will be confirmed by telephone.
Important: Placing an order on the website does not reserve the products for you. An order is confirmed by telephone or confirmation email. After ordering, please await contact from a Lavi Protect employee confirming availability, price and delivery date.
Delivery Time Displayed on the LAVI PROTECT Website
Product pages on the LAVI PROTECT website indicate a delivery timeframe. This is the approximate timeframe for handing the parcel over to the courier from the Lavi Protect warehouse.
The following situations may apply:
- 1–2 working days after order receipt if placed before 3:00 p.m., confirmed by telephone with a Lavi Protect employee, and the products are in Lavi Protect stock.
- 2–4 working days after order receipt if placed after 3:00 p.m., confirmed by telephone with a Lavi Protect employee, and the products are in an external warehouse or supplier stock.
- 5–10 working days after order receipt, following telephone confirmation with a Lavi Protect employee, if the products are in supplier stock.
- Over 10 days if the products are in an external warehouse or in production; the approximate delivery timeframe communicated by the manufacturer is indicated.
The above delivery timeframe is indicative and refers exclusively to handing the parcel over to the courier, NOT to the parcel arriving at the customer's address.
If products cannot be dispatched within the stated timeframe, or it can no longer be met, we will contact you by email or telephone.
Products not in stock and supplied 'to order' are an exception. Delivery of these products takes between 5 and 60 working days after telephone confirmation of the order.
Opening the Parcel on Delivery – Lavi Protect Offers a Parcel Inspection Service
This service is included in the transport cost for both courier deliveries and personal collection at Lavi Protect premises. To use it, select the parcel inspection on delivery option before placing the order.
Oversized items are delivered to a courier's depot. Oversized parcels are generally those over 1.7 metres long or weighing more than 30 kg.
Photovoltaic products are delivered to the address entered in the order form, but the carrier does NOT provide handling services and does not accept cash on delivery.
Lavi Protect sends products as one shipment, though it may contain several parcels. Lavi Protect does not accept responsibility where a customer arranges with the courier company to collect only some parcels from a shipment, and does not recommend such arrangements.
WARNING: If you have selected the OPEN PARCEL ON DELIVERY option, you must inspect the parcel in the courier's presence upon receipt. The original policy states that later complaints will not be considered.
If you have NOT selected OPEN PARCEL ON DELIVERY, the original policy requires written email complaints about missing products, non-conformity, transit damage or wrongly delivered products within 14 calendar days of receipt and states that Lavi Protect is not responsible after that period.
If you encounter any of the above situations, send an email to contact@laviprotect.ro or call (+40) 728 855 625 to make a complaint.
WARNING: During special shopping events (e.g. Black Friday) and public holidays, delivery times cannot be guaranteed and may exceed 10 working days.
Shipping Costs
Shipping is free for orders over RON 500, VAT included. Shipping rates are set by courier companies and may be paid at DESTINATION (by the customer) or at DISPATCH (in which case shipping charges are added to the invoice). Paying at dispatch may reduce costs under LAVI PROTECT SRL's agreements with partner couriers. The charges are listed below:
► RON 19 for orders within Romania.
The shipping charges listed above include VAT.
How Can I Pay?
Payment may be made:
► In cash upon delivery (cash on delivery).
► By bank transfer (please let us know in advance if you prefer this method).
A LAVI PROTECT SRL representative will handle the details (pro forma invoice, payment confirmation, etc.) to arrange dispatch as quickly as possible. Products will be shipped only after payment reaches our bank account. Payment confirmation may take 24–48 hours.
WARNING: Products sourced through special orders can only be purchased with advance payment. The original policy states that they cannot be returned and are not eligible for the 'Open Parcel on Delivery' option.
Environmental Recycling Fee (Green Stamp Fee)
The green stamp fee is an amount in Romanian lei paid by the seller to an authorised organisation managing the collection, transport, recovery and recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment, as required by applicable law.
Where required by law, the prices displayed for electronic products on the website include the environmental recycling fee. The table below lists fees by product category on shop.laviprotect.ro. These charges are borne by LAVI PROTECT SRL.

Information on WEEE
Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) may contain hazardous substances that negatively affect the environment and human health if not collected separately.
Under Government Emergency Ordinance 195/2005 on environmental protection and Government Emergency Ordinance 5/2015 on waste electrical and electronic equipment, customers should note the following:
• Buyers must not dispose of WEEE as unsorted municipal waste and must collect it separately.
• WEEE is collected through public WEEE collection services, directly through LAVI PROTECT and at collection centres operated by authorised businesses.
• Customers may hand over WEEE free of charge at designated collection points when purchasing a new product in the same category. LAVI PROTECT operates a one-for-one take-back system, in accordance with the law, where the equipment returned is equivalent to and has fulfilled the same functions as the new equipment supplied. Customers may hand over equivalent WEEE at the collection locations indicated by LAVI PROTECT.
• LAVI PROTECT collects very small WEEE from end users free of charge during business hours, without any obligation to purchase equivalent EEE, at its premises at 152K Ștefan cel Mare Street, Sibiu.
• The symbol indicating separate collection of electrical and electronic equipment is a crossed-out wheeled bin, as shown in the accompanying image.
• This symbol means WEEE must not be mixed with household waste and must be collected separately.
Legal Guarantee of Conformity
The seller must supply goods that conform to the sales contract, whether the contract is concluded verbally or in writing.
A product is considered to conform to the sales contract if all the following conditions are met:
a) The product corresponds to the seller's description and has the qualities of products presented as samples or models. Note: Website photographs are illustrative; actual products may differ from those shown.
b) The product is suitable for any particular purpose requested by the consumer, made known to the seller and accepted by the seller when the sales contract was concluded.
Non-conformity includes circumstances in which the seller fails to fulfil a contractual commitment to provide a product adapted to a consumer's stated purpose. This includes where the consumer requires special characteristics and the trader agrees to manufacture or supply a product with those characteristics.
c) The product is suitable for the purposes for which products of that type are normally used.
In this case, non-conformity amounts to a defect: the product does not work as it should. Examples include a freezer that does not freeze, shoes that tear on first use, a washing machine motor that does not turn the drum, or a light bulb that burns out five minutes after installation.
d) The product has the quality and performance normally expected by a consumer, given its nature and public statements about its specific characteristics made by the seller, manufacturer or representative, particularly in advertising or on the product label.
In such cases, non-conformity is assessed by reference to the product's nature and statements made about it, particularly advertising and labelling.
Non-conformity also exists in the following two situations:
a) The seller installs the product incorrectly where installation is a contractual obligation of the seller.
b) A product intended for installation by the consumer is installed incorrectly because of shortcomings in the instructions.
The legal guarantee of conformity lasts two years from the date of delivery.
For used products, a shorter period may be agreed with the seller, but not less than one year from delivery.
For products whose average service life is less than two years, the original text states that the legal conformity guarantee is reduced to that period.
Presumption of Non-Conformity
The presumption of non-conformity means treating a product as having lacked the required quality or performance at the time of purchase. The original text states that non-conformity arising within six months of delivery is presumed to have existed on delivery.
The original text states that the seller must be informed within two months of discovering non-conformity and before six months have elapsed from delivery for that presumption to apply.
After six months, the original text states that the consumer may still notify the seller within two months of detecting non-conformity, up to two years after delivery, but must prove the product was non-conforming upon delivery. Failure to notify within the prescribed time may affect the claimed remedy under the original policy.
Under the stated presumption, the burden of proving that the product conformed upon delivery lies with the seller, not the consumer, but the original text applies this only during the first six months.
The presumption of non-conformity cannot be invoked where:
- It is incompatible with the product's nature, generally for products with a life shorter than six months, such as food.
- It is incompatible with the nature of the non-conformity, for example damage caused by incorrect use or ordinary wear and tear (such as shoes or clothing).
Commercial Warranty
All electronic products sold by Lavi Protect have a warranty of at least two years, except short-life products such as batteries and rechargeable batteries, which the original policy states carry a six-month warranty.
The applicable commercial warranty period is shown on each product's page.
Certain products have a free extended warranty of three or five years. Keep the warranty certificate supplied with the product to benefit from the extension.
WARNING: DO NOT SEND PARCELS TO THE SERVICE CENTRE BEFORE NOTIFYING US USING THE FORM BELOW OR BY CALLING (+40) 728 855 625.
Products submitted for replacement or return during the warranty period must be sent to the SELLER's business premises together with the warranty certificate and a copy of the purchase invoice. Shipping costs are borne entirely by the seller. We recommend calling or emailing a Lavi Protect representative before sending products for servicing. Visible defects should be reported when opening the parcel.
The seller states that the warranty does not apply if products have been handled or stored improperly, used for purposes other than intended, installed incorrectly, subjected to electrical, mechanical or thermal shocks, immersed in water or exposed to substances unnecessary for installation. Under the original policy, failure to comply with these conditions voids the warranty and transport is charged to the customer.
Warning: Customers sending hard drives for warranty service are required by the original policy to use courier delivery with the 'Open Parcel on Delivery' option, to document the product's physical condition.
Lavi Protect does not accept products for servicing without identification labels. These labels contain the product's identification code, without which correct identification is not possible.
After service technicians assess the product, it will be repaired, replaced or refunded within 15 calendar days after reaching the service centre, as stated in the original policy. To enquire about repair status, email contact@laviprotect.ro.
WARNING: DO NOT SEND PARCELS TO THE SERVICE CENTRE BEFORE NOTIFYING US THROUGH THE WARRANTY FORM OR BY CALLING (+40) 728 855 625.
Commercial Warranty for Photovoltaic Products
The original policy states that photovoltaic panels, inverters and solar batteries have a commercial warranty of two years for individuals and one year for legal entities.
Depending on the product, manufacturers offer extended warranties ranging from 2 to 12 years, subject to installers following the manufacturer's warranty procedure.
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
- Any modification to improve the product made without the manufacturer's or seller's written approval.
- Necessary periodic maintenance, repairs or replacement of parts worn or damaged through normal use (such as loose rubber parts, dust on sensors, calibration or optical alignment).
- Physical defects resulting from mechanical or thermal shocks (breakage, scratches, cracks, burns, deformation, etc.).
- The warranty excludes cases where the manufacturer's labels, markings or seals have been erased, altered, detached or otherwise tampered with.
- The warranty excludes cases where the product has not been correctly installed or operated, or the conditions of use have not been observed.
- The warranty excludes photovoltaic products such as inverters, solar panels and accessories if they have not been installed by a company authorised by ANRE, as stated in the original policy.
Product Returns
Consumers have the right to inform the trader in writing that they are withdrawing from the purchase, without penalty or giving a reason, within 14 calendar days of receiving the product (the original text cites Article 7 of Government Emergency Ordinance 34/2014).
Lavi Protect has extended the return period through its EXTRA RETURN service. Products may be returned within 30 calendar days of receipt, subject to the rules below. The extra return option is available to individuals only.
Customers of shop.laviprotect.ro may return products within 30 calendar days of receipt*, without penalty or stating a reason. Return shipping is paid by the customer, using the same transport service as the original delivery. The customer chooses the courier for the return.
* The product must arrive at Lavi Protect's premises no later than 30 calendar days after receipt.
LAVI PROTECT SRL may charge additional amounts for used or damaged returned goods to restore them to their original condition, ranging from 0% to 50% of the original product value. Returned devices must be reset to factory settings and not locked to a user account or password. The original text also provides for a fee where such a reset has not been performed.
LAVI PROTECT SRL will refund the order value within 14 calendar days after written notice of withdrawal. If a return does not include a copy of the invoice, contact details, order number or return request number needed to identify the customer, the original policy says the refund period will be extended. The seller may withhold reimbursement until receiving the goods or evidence that they have been shipped, whichever comes first.
These terms refer to Law 365/2002 on e-commerce and Government Emergency Ordinance 34/2014 governing distance contracts.
Products exchanged or credited within 30 calendar days must be sent to one of the SELLER's business premises, accompanied by a copy of the purchase invoice. The original text places the cost of shipping faulty goods on the BUYER. Products should only be sent to Lavi Protect after email notification and receipt of return instructions.
Important Points When Returning Ordered Products:
• Return shipping costs to LAVI PROTECT SRL are paid by the customer.
• Consumers are responsible for diminished product value resulting from handling. Returned products should be in the condition in which they were received. The original policy states that unauthorised modifications, excessive wear, scratches, chips, impacts, mechanical or electrical shocks and similar damage may make goods unacceptable for return.
• Where products have a warranty seal, the original policy states that the seal must remain intact.
• Under the original policy, surveillance cameras must not have been mounted, as installation causes wear. Cameras, DVRs, gate automation equipment, video intercoms and other products with accessories must be complete, with every accessory supplied, in its original condition and without physical alterations or damage.
• Devices and purchased products should be in the condition in which they were received.
• Used, scratched or damaged products may still be returned, but the original policy provides for a charge of 0% to 50% of the initial price, depending on their condition.
• The original policy states that consumable or perishable materials cannot be returned once used, even once.
• For additional details concerning product condition, contact us online, by email or by telephone.
Products deemed used may also be accepted back at a reduced price under an assessment report prepared by Lavi Protect and agreed by both parties.
The original policy lists the following as non-returnable: products specially sourced rather than ordinarily stocked by Lavi Protect, consumables (anti-theft tags, batteries, etc.), sectional garage doors, thermal scanners, thermometers, thermal imaging cameras and other items sourced only to order.
Products that do not match the specifications displayed on the site when the order was placed may be returned without additional expense to the customer after written notice explaining the non-conformity. The customer may seek a refund or a conforming replacement; if Lavi Protect cannot replace the product, the product price will be refunded.
If the SELLER cannot deliver a good or service ordered by the BUYER, the seller will inform the customer and refund the amount paid within a maximum of seven days of becoming aware of the issue or the buyer expressly terminating the contract, as stated in the original text.
Requests and Complaints
If you experience an issue with an order that cannot be resolved by email or with the representative assisting you, you may request further amicable resolution by calling (+40) 728 855 625 or writing to contact@laviprotect.ro.
Disputes
Any dispute between LAVI PROTECT SRL and its customers will first be addressed amicably. If this is not possible, the original terms provide for referral to the court with territorial jurisdiction over the location of LAVI PROTECT SRL's registered office.

For example, our main online chat service provider is described in the original policy as Zendesk in Denmark. Information exchanged with an operator via chat is stored on the provider's servers. These third parties and their employees may access personal data only for the services they provide.
Another example is a courier service, which requires personal information to deliver an order.
4.3 Partners and Joint Promotions
We may occasionally run joint or co-sponsored programmes or promotions with another company or organisation and collect and process personal information. If data is collected by or shared with a party other than Lavi Protect, relevant information will be provided in connection with that promotion.
If you do not want information collected by or jointly with another company, you may choose not to register for or participate in the promotion when personal information is requested.
4.4 Legal and Business Transfers
We may disclose personal information where required by law or where we reasonably believe, in good faith, that disclosure is necessary to comply with legal proceedings, respond to claims or protect the rights, property or safety of Lavi Protect, its customers or others.
If Lavi Protect merges with, is acquired by, or sells all or part of its business to another company, the purchaser may gain access to information held by Lavi Protect, including personal data, in accordance with applicable requirements.
5. What Happens if You Refuse to Provide Personal Data?
If you choose not to provide requested personal data, you may be unable to use certain website features or personalised services, access special offers or place an order. For example, without an address we may not be able to deliver a product.
6. Your Rights
6.1 Rights Relating to Marketing Communications
You have the following choices regarding receipt of relevant marketing messages:
- a) Follow the opt-out instructions in the marketing communications. b) To change your preferences, contact us through the relevant website section.
Even after opting out of marketing, you may continue receiving administrative communications from Lavi Protect, such as account confirmations, password change notifications and order-related messages.
6.2 Right of Access to and Rectification of Personal Data
You have the right to request access to your personal data. You may send us an access request. If Lavi Protect cannot honour the request, it will explain why. You may also request correction of inaccurate personal data in accordance with applicable law.
7. Tracking Technologies – How and Why Are They Used?
Lavi Protect uses tracking technologies (cookies, IP addresses, log files and web beacons) to gather information such as browser and operating system type, referring page, website navigation, internet service provider domain, device and location, in order to improve website usability and functionality.
7.1 Cookies
We use cookies to improve the usability and functionality of our websites and understand how visitors use the websites, tools and services. Storing cookies on your computer helps us recognise preferences and improve your experience on subsequent visits.
To learn more about Lavi Protect's use of cookies and your rights, please read the Lavi Protect Cookie Policy.
7.2 IP Addresses
We may track Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for purposes including (i) technical troubleshooting, (ii) website safety and security, (iii) restricting website access for certain users and (iv) understanding website usage.
7.3 Log Files
We or a third party acting on our behalf may collect log-file information recording website activity and statistical information about visitors' browsing habits. The original policy describes these entries as anonymous and says they help identify browser types, visits and usage patterns.
7.4 Web Beacons
We may use web beacons (or clear GIFs) on our websites or in emails sent to you. Web beacons, sometimes called web bugs, are small pieces of code that provide a method of displaying an image in a web page or email and measuring interactions.
8. Security and Storage of Personal Data
Lavi Protect takes technical and organisational measures to protect the confidentiality and security of personal information collected via its websites, including sensitive information and data concerning minors. These include safeguards intended to prevent unauthorised access, use or disclosure.
Lavi Protect may store personal information submitted through this website in a database, such as a customer database. Information is retained for the period during which it is needed for the relevant purposes, according to the original policy.
You are reminded of your rights concerning personal data, including access, objection, not being subject to certain automated individual decisions, seeking judicial remedies and requesting deletion where applicable. You may exercise these rights by contacting Lavi Protect.
